The hairdo that African men sport is different and makes them stand out from the remaining crowd of people who is not African American. Their hair is curly without having to anything to make them so. Yet, they are soft and easy to style. African men can have short or long hair depending on several factors but both of them will look equally good.

The older men usually like to wear their hair in huge Afro styles where as the younger lot like them to be short and chic. This is because it is far easy to handle them, and it takes them back to their original roots. The young African men like to have this hairstyle as it helps them form a bond with their tradition and heritage.
African men like to wear their hair in different styles such as braids. Even with braids they can be of different styles and length. They can be jazzed up by adding beads to them. They can also wear their hair in cornrows. Cornrow is ahairstyle which allows you to get a pattern and remains on your hair for weeks to come. Later you can unbraid them and then do them up again.
